Making a Planned Gift

Planned gifts are pledges to provide the AOU with a donation at some future time. They are used most often for gifts to the Endowment Fund, which provides support in perpetuity for AOU programs.

There are several ways to arrange planned giving, such as naming AOU as the beneficiary of a:

• Will
• Trust
• IRA, retirement plan, or life insurance
• Charitable Remainder Trust or Charitable Lead Trust

We can offer more information on AOU's needs and basic advice on arranging planned gifts, but ultimately you should consult your financial advisor to tailor your gift to your own financial and tax situation.

Donors who inform AOU of planned gifts are recognized as members of the AOU Legacy Circle unless otherwise instructed.
